Stephanie Chan founded Asia Bar Review Limited in 2011 at the age of 25, after negotiating a deal to exclusively license BARBRI to Hong Kong and Taiwan. Under Stephanie’s leadership, Asia Bar Review Limited expanded its licensing agreement with BARBRI to cover the Singapore market in 2015 and the Australia market in 2019.
Stephanie has spoken about the intricacies of the development of the international legal industry at several prestigious institutions. These include the University of Cambridge, King’s College London, the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, Singapore Management University, the Taipei Bar Association, and the IBA Conference. She has also been invited to speak at various international law firms such as Latham & Watkins LLP, Herbert Smith Freehills, and Ropes & Gray LLP. Prior to founding Asia Bar Review, she worked as an International Associate at Shearman & Sterling New York and was later transferred to the Hong Kong office.
She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School with an LL.M. (Master of Laws) and is admitted as an Attorney in the State of New York. She also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Law) and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Hong Kong.
